Network Danders Challenge Weekend 2019!

On a murky Friday evening, members from across Scotland descended on Invertrossachs Scout Campsite for the very first Network Danders Challenge Weekend. The weather wasn't looking like it would be in our favour, but we were determined that it would not stop us having an epic weekend.

The weekend kicked off with an evening session of bell boating with 2 boats heading out into the evening mist in search off the floating golden treasure before retreating to the cabin for some evening socialising. The Saturday morning brought rain and wind and meant that the planned abseiling would be suspended until the afternoon and instead we would hit Loch Venachar for some paddling. During this session, we were pleased to assess and approve multiple people in getting their B1 canoe and kayak permits-a fantastic achievement! After a hearty lunch, we made our way up to Glen Ogle viaduct where we took part in an afternoon abseiling with stunning views across the Trossachs! There was no better way to celebrate a day of activities than following it up with a BBQ and trip to the pub to let the fun continue. Sunday morning was a lazy start before heading up to Glen Finglas Dam for a spot of canyoning in the river below!

We are pleased to say that the weekend was a success and plans are already being put in place to take the event forward into 2020!

In the meantime you can check out all the photos from this years event on the link below!
